|The combined work of
Shawndavid Berry, Virginia Purviance, and Rachel Brask call up garden-inspired
artwork in ARTBORETUM. Purviance's assemblages, collages and paintings are
themes and variations of the landscape of her mind -- gardens of whimsical
thoughts. Berry's work is rooted in the earthy practice of bringing out beauty
through carved tree branches, stumps, and roots. Brask's textured oil paintings
of abstracted rainy views water the soil of these creations.|

Gallery is soliciting submissions of recent work by regional artists
for future exhibits. To be considered, please
download a copy of our Work for Review form
and follow the enclosed procedure. For further information, email us at
firstname.lastname@example.org, or call the gallery from Wednesday to Sunday
during gallery hours, 1-5pm.
To provide opportunities that connect artists and their creative work to
the larger community.
- To offer exhibition opportunities
to artist members as well as to established and emerging artists of Southern New
England through a rotating annual schedule of juried and open shows.
- To engage in and support
artistic collaboration with a diverse segment of our community to stimulate
public interest and understanding of the ever-evolving nature of art.
- To educate young
aspiring artists through school partnerships with annual shows of student work.
- To enrich the cultural
life of our community by consistently displaying new and exciting contemporary
works of art and making quality art accessible to all of our community.
